Our family bought the property on Hillside Rd. from Mr. Kosta. My father built our house and our family moved there in 1957. Many wonderful and funny memories. My father was a volunteer fireman and my mother belonged to the "Sparks" who were wives of the firemen. Loved the many parades, and city events. Our family was very involved in the city's activities till we all either went away to college or got married and moved.

Greetings from historic Rockside Farm, home of the Kuenzer family homestead.
Sorry I cannot attend your meetings at noon, but I'm interested, as I've been over the past 50 years, in helping to preserve historical properties in 7 Hills.
Feel free to put me on your contact list of events, etc. and please visit some time soon, thanks...

Michelle (Feuerstein) Wagner says...
My family was one of the original families to the area. The Feuersteins, Hartmans, Perram etc. My Father is almost 89 and sharp as a tack. He tells me stories about the family farm and property they owned on Broadview and other stories. If there are any pictures or more info. I would give anything to hear or see it. Karen, I need to ask my Dad...but my family was either related to or neighbors with the Froehlichs. I will talk to my Dad and see if I can write down any info and share. He knows much of the history. My family is buried at St. Peter's.

In the second mayor's list of councilmen was John F. He had a farm as he is also listed in the farmland taxes. From his proposals I'd say he was the down to earth, keep it moving kind of guy. Not the pie in the sky guy. I would love to add what your father knows to our historical stories.
